Description

Flanked by two unusual watch towers which create a dramatic entrance for guests, this beautiful red brick wedding barn is set on the Welbeck Estate in Nottinghamshire. The barn was transformed by Cripps & Co, a family-run business with more than 25 years experience restoring barns and creating weddings. With its traditional oak timber and elegant arches, the main barn is the ideal location for a wedding ceremony. A large fireplace, fairy lights and giant candelabra bathe the space in light and create a romantic atmosphere. The room is transformed and decorated for dancing after dinner, with a special late license until 1 am. The barn can accommodate 150 guests for a ceremony and 250 in total, including evening guests. Our light-filled Oak Room has views over the gardens and woodland on one side and a bar that spills out onto the courtyard. Here, guests can feast in style. Our in-house chefs flame-grill food over a giant BBQ and rotisserie. We buy the best, cook it simply and serve it generously. The Oak Room accommodates 150 seated guests. Surrounded by the barn buildings, the Hazel Gap courtyard is sheltered and peaceful, with a fountain, mulberry trees, seating and planters. At night the courtyard is lit up with fairy lights, fire pits and lanterns. Our on-site Hazel Gap team provides an exceptional service, helping with everything from the big ideas to the last minute details.

The Perfect Day

The first day we walked into Hazel Gap Barn we fell in love straight away! We loved how we could personalise everything to how we wanted it and not to a standardized wedding package. We got married at Hazel Gap Barn on 11th November and it was the most perfect day. More perfect than we could ever imagine! The venue is stunning in itself but the staff here really do make it a whole package! Nothing was too much and you can tell every person we came into contact with is passionate about their job and making our day perfect for us. We cannot thank you enough! I have no doubt anyone else looking to get married here will be disappointed, it is perfect! We cannot wait to return to Hazel Gap Barn to try one of your feast nights! Everything was perfection

I am writing on behalf of my daughter, son-in-law and family to say a huge thank you for the thoughtful service and professionalism given to all family and guests on their wedding day - Saturday, 27th January at Hazel Gap Barn. I have received so many compliments that I wanted to make sure you knew. The day went very smoothly and expertly and the organization on the day was superbly carried out. We have had nothing but compliments on the amazing service and food from all the guests. Your friendly staff looked after us extremely well and were always one step ahead of us. Everyone was blown away by the splendour of the building and the spectacular rooms we had at our disposal. I just kept saying ‘Wow’ especially when I saw the dining room all set up. Oh, and have I mentioned the food! It was beyond superb! All in all it was the most magnificent and wonderful day we could have hoped for. We have had so many people come back and say how much they enjoyed the celebration and just what a real gem Hazel Gap Barn is. Thank you. Everything was perfection!

Nothing was too much trouble

Amazing from start to finish. This fantastic venue speaks for itself but what really adds to it is the staff.
