Raina was phenomenal from start to finish. She sold the venue to us when we first visited The Johnstown Estate in August 2023. Her kindness and calmness sealed the deal for us, we knew we were in safe hands. The whole process was so easy, Raina was always on top of emails and answering all our queries with such patience (and there were many!)
D: When we first visited the Johnstown Estate in August 2023 we were really taken by the venue visually and the feel of the place when we walked through the front door into reception. We noticed the open fire and the lovely scent in the reception! It was, though, once we met Raina though who sealed it for us; initially with her straightforward and simple explanation of what they offer, but then her honesty, kindness, and calmness. We knew we were in safe hands. Raina made the whole process so easy, and she was always there answering our queries via email and phone call (of which there were many!) with such patience and promptness.
We loved our menu tasting and she worked hard to make adjustments for us.
On the pre-wedding dinner we arrived on the 2nd May and Raina was there to meet us with open arms like a close friend. We were genuinely buzzing to see her. The days leading up to the wedding she was also so attentive, as we had several changes to guest numbers, answering emails in seconds. Raina is uniquely talented and so good at this, as anyone who has organised a wedding will appreciate how many little things need brought together in the last run up to the day.
The dinner for our pre-wedding celebration was so beautiful and the staff were brilliant.
On our actual wedding day on 3rd May, we were on cloud 9 all day, and seeing Raina there helped calm the nerves. Special thanks to her for helping me (Emma) with the nerves and panic before walking down the aisle and bringing us both in water during the ceremony!
We loved every single minute of the day and everything was perfect. The sun shining, the music, the flowing drinks. The orangery looked superb. I forgot to ask for some extra canapes after our photos were taken, but we were just happy that everyone else devoured them! We had so many people saying the cookies were divine.
We couldn't have been happier. We apologise that our dinner was a little delayed due to the length of the speeches, this was not planned to take so long but at no point were we stressed or made feel stressed!
We loved the food, everyone commented on how delicious it was. And we are so glad we chose the beef, so thank you to Raina for helping us secure that too.
We shared an emotional moment with Raina when she came to see us at the top table before our wedding dinner finished. She said 'I have good news and bad news, the good news is that you have been upgraded to stay in the Lady Margaret suite for another night, the bad news is that I have to leave' and we all started crying! I think this speaks for itself how much she meant to us and how genuinely happy for us. We missed her on our day 2 but we were in great hands with Roberto and the food was SO delicious, I only wish I went for a second portion! The day 2 music in the orangery was the perfect chilled end to the most magical weekend. We genuinely owe this all to Raina, she made it all happen. I cannot believe she has 64 weddings this year, I am not sure how many she is coordinating but those couples are so lucky to have her too. She made us feel like we were the only ones!
Thank you for making our wedding day so memorable. We will never forget your kindness.
