“The Horn of Plenty surpassed our expectations in every way possible enabling us to have the most wonderful wedding day. Julie and Emma took care of everything for us. The Hotel offers a dedicated wedding co-ordinator – something that we hadn’t expected, but were so grateful to have. Throughout the planning stages both Julie and Emma accommodated all of our requests and offered us guidance when appropriate. On the wedding day itself, they made sure the day flowed seamlessly, enabling us to relax and enjoy the day. The communication between us and the Hotel was excellent. We felt like our wedding was as important to them, as it was to us. We were allowed to feel as if nothing was ever too much trouble, no matter how small the request. We, and our guests, were made to feel so welcome within the Hotel. All of the staff were excellent. The accommodation was superb and the food was spectacular. Our guests raved about the food, as much as they did about the venue. We cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough. We have every intention of going back to the Hotel on a regular basis, and it has become a firm favourite with our guests too. Thanks to the Horn of Plenty, we have created memories that we shall treasure for a lifetime.”

The breathtaking views over the valley and gorgeous venue and beautiful gardens won us over immediately. From the moment we booked, a year before, to the special day the wedding team were in close contact and always quick to reply to emails or phone calls. The day itself was amazing. I can’t believe how smoothly it all went and how relaxed I felt. I think this was because everything was very organised leading up to the day. All the recommended services (florist/cake/cheese shop) were incredible and the food was delicious on the day. Thank you to Shirna and the wedding team for making the day so special for us. I wish we could do it all again!

Just wanted to thank you all again for making our day memorable. What a stunning view and location, everyone loved your hotel, such a great day from start to finish and such helpful staff, they are a real credit to you. Also, would you please thank the chef from us, for his culinary skills, guests were blown away with the food. Thanks again, we’ll be out for afternoon tea again soon.

The ceremony was well organised, the food was delicious, the table decorations were exactly as I pictured them and we were very impressed by the professionalism of your team of staff throughout the day. You are so obviously experienced in facilitating weddings, with such attention to detail, which shown though throughout the whole of the experiences. I just wanted to drop you a quick line to express my heartfelt gratitude to you, Emma and your whole team for the incredible service we received this weekend. I simply cannot fault anything from the whole time we were there. Everyone commented on, of course, the stunning location and splendid house, but also there was considerable high praise for the food.Every single member of your staff were so wonderful, incredibly polite and helpful without feeling false or insincere.I can’t put into words what a wonderful time we had, your hotel bedrooms, grounds and food were beyond expectation and the service provided ensured we had the most relaxing, stress-free and beautiful day. We chose the Horn of Plenty as our wedding venue for a couple of reasons 1) The amazing setting, and more importantly, 2) Julie, the owner and Wedding planner. She made us feel so welcome and special from the moment we stepped into the hotel whilst looking for a venue that we knew we wanted to get married there. From that very first meeting, Julie and her team couldn’t do enough to ensure our day was perfect in every way. We planned the wedding from Yorkshire and the wedding team were on always hand to answer any questions we had. The actual day was amazing. The food was out of this world. The chef had created a bespoke menu for us earlier in the year where we met with him and discussed our favourite food. He then designed a menu around this and made our favourite foods even better! All of our guests commented on how good the food was and how well ran the day went. I can’t recommend The Horn of Plenty enough. We will most certainly be going back in years to come.

From start to finish you and your team made sure our special day was everything we had dreamt of, the food was just stunning, chef and team did an amazing Job! From the minute I arrived to the minute we left as husband and wife we cannot fault a thing! All of our guests had a fantastic time and the comments about how amazing the day was, your team and the hotel just kept flowing. The only thing we keep saying is “we so want to do it all again” Thank you once again to you and your team Shirna for the most amazing day!

This is just a short note to say thank you to you and all your team for being such a large integral part of those memories for us. From the day we decided to hold our wedding at the Horn of Plenty, it was packed with fun, excitement and pure pleasure. The planning was so enjoyable and what a turn out on the day. The venue, staff, food and atmosphere was past even the wildest of our expectations. We will have fond memories of our day together with our families and friend for many, many years to come. I just wanted to thank everyone involved in the planning and execution of our big day on Monday. We had the most perfect day and wouldn’t change a single detail and the venue and staff played a massive part in that.
