What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't fall into the trap of trying to include too much in your day - less is more! Guests who are looked after well, fed delicious food and accommodated in comfortable bedrooms remember your day for as long as you will!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

I've seen many nice touches over the years. Because we are a pet-friendly venue, its great that couples can bring their dog(s) along to share in the photographs of the big day. After all, pets are part of the family!

Where’s the best photo spot at The Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel?

We have immacualte grounds so this is a tough question! The spiral fire escape has become a popular spot as a unique photograph can be created with guests all gathered around the sprial.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at The Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel?

Yes we have! In fact the weekend just gone we had a very well known Welsh Rugby legend as a guest. We have also had some actors who attended as guests.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Definately mini sausage patties coated in honey mustard.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

I'm rarely up at midnight as I start work early in the morning! But if I was it would be nice cheeses, crackers and a glass of wine.

What is The Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel most unique feature?

The library is a particularly unique room with its conical ceiling. It's the perfect setting for a small wedding or celebration (and looks amazing when decorated for Christmas!)

What part of your business are you most proud of?

I am proud of the position I hold because its great to be an ambassador for a venue that has such an excellent reputation. Its great to be part of a fantastic team - everyone is committed to playing their part in making each customer's experience perfect.
