There is no where more special that Abbotsford in the sunshine. One of our lovely couples were lucky enough to bring the weather with them and marry amidst our beautiful tulip festival. There relaxed and informal day really suited the couple and allowed them to feel like they were getting married in their own home.

Don't panic! Yes, there are many things to think about but everything comes together in the end.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A wedding of a keen fisherman and golfer, they subtly added their hobbies to their wedding. From canapes served with golf balls, to cheese served on a small wooden boat they captured their personalities in their food and decoration.

Our beautifully manicured gardens proven popular with couples, however, if you are looking for something a little different, we have opened up our woodlands with breathtaking views over the river tweed
What’s your favourite canapé?
All of our canapes are outstanding but my personal favorite has to be Roast beef and caramelised onion choux buns
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Once the sun has set on your perfect day, couples love to cozy up next to the roaring fire in our luxury accommodation and have a lovely moment to themselves.
What is The Abbotsford Trust most unique feature?
The whole setting is most definitely the most unique feature, Sir Walter Scott created something which is truly unique.
Special arrangements can be made to have photos in Sir Walter Scott's Library. Completed in 1824 and, to many, the most iconic room at Abbotsford, Scott’s magnificent library.
