We are a rustic barn venue on a working farm with a country house thrown in! Your blessing ceremony can be on the elegant lawns under the ancient oak and guests can enjoy drinks and canapés on the terrace and explore the 11 acres of gardens. Then everyone can meander through the woods to the barn and byre for feasting, partying and dancing. There is also a field for games galore! Catering is in house but we work with each of our couples to create truly individual menus to suit most budgets. We use our own venison, apples, lamb, cider and beer as well as produce from our neighbours farms like pork and beef. Everything is handmade so can be tailored to your preferences. We have our own brewery on the farm and run the evening bar but couples can bring their own for the meal and post ceremony drinks for a corkage charge. We are here to help as much as you need us and have a list of super suggested suppliers. You are however free to choose your own. We also give you from the Monday prior to your wedding to set up as we believe this should be a fun relaxed time not a massive rush the day before. This also means couples have time to really create their dreams!
In short if you want a fun, fabulous, unique venue to make your own then we are the place for you!
Because we are a venue that uses lots of out door areas we only do weddings from May to mid September. Our max capacity for day is 120 and 150 in the evening.
This includes the weeks set up, the barn, byre and gardens (gardens for blessing and drinks only), toilets, festoon lighting in the barn and byre, sound system, tables and chairs for approx 100, bar (free when minimum spend net)
We work on a really bespoke basis with all our couples. Some choose to tell us their budget and an idea of what the want and we create a menu, others have very firm ideas already, some pick from our menus, some have ideas that don’t match their budgets so we try and create a happy compromise!
The catering will include staff, crockery and cutlery and all service equipment (unless something very specific is required which we need to hire in) Glass wear is covered by corkage. Tablecloths can also be included or their is the option to hire in or use an alternative.
