Set in the beautiful North Hertfordshire countryside, Milling Barn at Blunstwood Hall is an idyllic and exclusive wedding venue on a family run farm. Weddings are our specialty and we have been providing bespoke wedding services and wedding receptions for over 15 years. We have grown year on year, whilst retaining our enthusiasm for each occasion, as every wedding, and every couple's requirements are different. This romantic and spacious barn incorporates the traditional character of a 17th Century oak barn alongside the rustic charm of the old farmyard.
The Milling and Dairy Barns are licensed for civil weddings, partnerships and naming ceremonies as are two outdoor locations, the garden and a beautiful woodland. The wedding service is carried out by the Registrar, who must be contacted and booked by you. Milling Barn is registered with Bishops Stortford registry office. The Milling and Dairy Barns can seat up to 200 and 150 guests respectively, but can equally be tailored to suit much smaller parties.
If you are planning on getting married in your local parish church, you can then come to Milling Barn for your wedding reception.
After the wedding ceremony, drinks can be served in the barns, or alternatively in the gardens. The enormous oak tree provides a fantastic backdrop for great photo opportunities. The meal is then served in the Milling Barn. Both wedding barns have dedicated bars with music and dancing usually taking place in the Milling Barn due to the large dance floor area and main bar.
To make the most of our beautiful rural setting at Milling Barn, we have teamed up with highly acclaimed local event caterers, The Chopping Block, to provide our wedding catering. The Chopping Block have been catering at numerous wedding venues for over 10 years, and have built up an amazing reputation for great tasting food, imaginative ideas and excellent service.
