We are so pleased we chose Steve and Sandra to be our wedding day photographers. From the first meeting we were set at ease by their professionalism and experience. The final pictures are beautiful, not only capturing our joy on the day but also the amazing building of Manchester Town Hall - we loved reliving the day and have looked at the photos so many times already. Every email, query or request was replied to promptly and the options available for prints and albums gave us just what we wanted. These two very lovely people added to the smooth running of our day; we would make the same choice again and would definitely recommend them. Thank you!

Do not book a wedding without these two wonderful people. Steve and Sandra are not only fantastic photographers but also a wealth of knowledge and support for anyone planning their special day. They helped to guide us through parts of the planning process drawing on their own considerable experience to help us make decisions around timings and locations, ensuring we had a part of the day in peace as man and wife. Without Steve and Sandra being at our house at an insanely early time and then getting to the venue like lightning we would have had a very dishevelled and cravat-less set of groomsmen! (Godsend!) On the day we felt less like we had a pair of photographers and more like we had two extra friends and guests with us, this enabled them to capture some of the most natural and relaxed parts of the day. Due to their extensive experience with our venue they were able to help us capture some of the most wonderful formal photos without making two very camera-shy people uncomfortable. All our family and friends loved having them around and we really do have so many cherished images of the day showing us all the moments we missed. Everyone who has seen our photos so far has been amazed at the quality of the photography along with Steve and Sandra’s ability to capture the most intimate and relaxed moments of the day. Since the wedding Steve and Sandra’s support and advice has not ceased even 6 months on, nothing has been too much trouble or inconvenience with these two wonderful people. To repeat ourselves do not get married without Steve and Sandra!!!

SMH photographed our wedding at Owen House Wedding Barn in September 2017. They photographed my sister’s wedding 7 years ago and we had no hesitation when it came to booking them for our wedding (the first supplier we booked after the venue). Their communication was the best from any supplier we had, emails were answered at lightning speed which was refreshing when you have so much to coordinate always chasing suppliers for answers. Steve and Sandra photographed from the getting ready, through to the first dance. Several guests (especially the bridal party) commented on how lovely they both are and what a relaxed atmosphere they effortlessly create. They are excellent at the stealth photograph you don’t even notice they are there so they capture little moments you don't expect to see, which is a lovely surprise when you get to review the photos. The weather was pretty bad on the day (heavy rain almost all day) but they adapted and worked to ensure it didn't affect our day. Their enthusiasm and commitment for achieving great photos was undeniable with several things to contend with- due to the weather we had to stay inside which made logistics much harder trying to organise 110 noisy guests. Sandra in particular was quietly persistent making sure we were on track with timings in a careful, unobtrusive way was was very helpful when we had to make our excuses to get away from guests for our photos together. They hadn’t photographed the venue before and it was clear to see, at our planning meeting a few weeks before, that Steve was inspired and looking forward to the challenge. We had a couple of ideas we liked which he gladly made work on the day. Our concerns about not wanting to be too posed were really taken on board and we felt like the photos were really tailored to suit exactly what we wanted from our wedding photos. We were absolutely delighted with the (over 800!) photos when the time came to view them. The photos were on the website two weeks after the wedding, which was much speedier than we had expected. The website is great and very easy to use- the client area with passwords to access your album works well and being able to set up a profile and ‘favourite’ photos to narrow down for the album is invaluable. Now we need to try to narrow down from 200 to the 90 that can fit in the album- we expected this would be the case so went for the option to buy all images on a USB (which is beautifully presented in a branded SMH box!) which means we can keep them all and print more whenever we want to. Overall, Steve and Sandra’s professionalism never waived throughout the whole process, maintained constantly with a level of warmth and care that can be hard to come by in the wedding industry. We would recommend to anyone getting married in the future and we cannot wait to see our final album. Thanks so much Steve and Sandra.

Steve & Sandra made our wedding day so special. They listened to exactly what we wanted and captured our day perfectly..We couldn't have asked for a better selection of photos! We would highly recommend them!

Well what can I say about Steve and Sandra... #DREAMTEAM we possibly couldn't have asked for better photographers! They made sure our day ran smoothly as they met us on a few occasions and kept in contact on a regular basis to ensure they knew all the details and changes we had made/added to our day. We choose the full package and I thought it was reasonably priced as I had looked around and others were pricey and that was only for one photographer. On the day they came smartly dressed and on time prepared for the day. Steve and Sandra involved all guests on the day and were very friendly. Sandra was absolutely amazing and travelled 60 miles to pick my scarf up for the night due which I had forgotten. I would use smh in the future and would definitely recommend them. We went to pick our album from the studio which was well presented, our album and photos are TOP QAULITY!!! Truly amazing People.

Steve and Sandra were just brilliant helping our wedding run so smoothly, they are lovely people and fantastic photographers! They were so attentive and professional and made us feel very relaxed. Sandra's attention to detail meant we looked our best in all the photos and Steve's direction helped us get fantastic shot despite the weather. The photos were edited and given to us very quickly, we are delighted with them and can't wait to receive the album. I cannot recommend SMH photography enough!

Steve and Sandra did our wedding photography at Addlington Hall. They were extremely helpful and easy going from when we first made contact from Australia, where we currently live. We only met Steve and Sandra a couple of weeks before the wedding but we knew straight away that we had made an excellent choice. Not being in the UK to plan the wedding had its difficulties but Steve and Sandra not only sorted the photos but offered plenty of much needed advise about the last minute details. Thank you for making us, and our guests feel so relaxed and providing us with amazing pictures of our day. We would not hesitate to recommend SMH photography.

We were lucky enough to have Steve and Sandra as our wedding photographers in July and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough! A fantastic couple who made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout all our photos on our big day and who captured the day perfectly. I hate having my photo taken especially being told to smile - mainly due to an illness which left me with a slight frozen nerve in my mouth. Steve and Sandra were so friendly and natural nothing felt forced or posed. The wedding photographs are absolutely stunning. All the guests commented on how good they were on the day - how enjoyable they made the shoots and this shows in the natural happy pictures. Professional and helpful (Sandra laced my dress as we were struggling and Steve announced us into the room as the venue hadn't covered this). Comments about our album have included more than one person saying it is the best album they've seen. We can't thank Steve and Sandra enough for capturing the love and happiness on film so perfectly on our special day

My husband and I got married and Heaton House Farm on 22nd October 2017 and are so happy that we chose SMH Photography to capture our special day. We first met Sandra at one of Heaton House Farm’s experience events. She was really friendly and we were impressed with the photos that we saw. After researching other photographers, we knew that SMH were the ones for us and booking them was really easy. We met with Steve and Sandra at the venue a few weeks before the wedding to go over all of the details and discuss any particular family/group photos that we wanted taken. As they are one of Heaton House farms recommended suppliers, they knew the venue really well and suggested all the different places there that we could have some stunning shots taken. The big day soon came round and they got to the venue bright and early, before we arrived, to get some photos of the ceremony and wedding breakfast rooms all decorated. During the entire day they were organised, professional and calm. We weren’t made to do any awkward poses. It was all very natural and made us feel very calm and relaxed. Apart from when we were having the group shots and our photos taken, you wouldn’t have known they were there, they blended in to the wedding well. Both were professional and charismatic. Steve going above and beyond to even get the children to smile during the bigger shots. Sandra even worked on her birthday and helped with my husband and best mans button holes and cravats. They worked with us to fit in some last minute group shots that we hadn’t planned for and worked well to get all the guests together for the confetti shots. During the evening they were able to pull us aside for some quick evening shots with some beautiful sky backgrounds without interrupting the flow of the evening reception They braved the horrible cold weather and always had our best interests at heart.
