I have 3 really memorable weddings. Firstly Rachel and Joe's that I photographed in September 2018 which was my first proper wedding. They had got all their friends and family involved in putting it together such as doing the flowers, catering (yummy lasagne), the bride’s vocal group singing in the service. The band they had for the evening reception 9again it included friends) always learn a new song chosen by the Bride & Groom, Joe and Rachel asked for Crazy In Love (a personally favourite of mine too as it was our second dance) and it was brilliant! It was a really lovely day and looked beautiful. Secondly Beth & Rory’s wedding I photographed in May 2019 with my husband. They say the devil is in the detail and Beth had detail in bucket loads at their wedding! Her cat was a strong theme in the wedding – from the cake, to the temporary tattoos specially designed, to the tracksuit she changed into later! Like Rachel and Joe she also used a lot of friends, and friends of friends’ local businesses. The weather was so changeable (and really cold for May!) but it didn’t stop everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves. Oh and the band in the evening was incredible – well it did include two singers from Basement Jaxx which helped! And last but not least my own! (Brighton Pier, 2005) has to be in the list.

Getting to capture people's special days is really an honour.

Sachi & Nick's had lots of personal touches - and the most amazing buffet which they all pitched in a cooked over BBQs in the field

A really lovely one of you - wether it's as you say your vows, the first kiss, the first dance or a posed portrait taken in that 'bit in between'. I also love a group photo because you should get a least one photo with everyone of your guests (although there is usually somebody missing!!)

Nothing springs to mind as being really original yet....

I did GCSE and A Level photography in the 90's and then didn't really touch a camera until I met my husband. As an avid a photographer himself it was a case of if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
