Owen Billcliffe Wedding Photography

We were really worried about finding the right photographer for our wedding - neither of us particularly likes having our photo taken so we wanted someone who would be able to take natural, candid photographs of us that wouldn't make us feel too formal and stilted. Owen was recommended to us by a friend, and from our very first meeting with him, we knew that he understood exactly what we were after and we were absolutely thrilled when he agreed to work with us. He was calm, patient and full of helpful ideas at every turn, which made us feel completely relaxed and comfortable. On the day, he managed to blend in among the crowd so well that we barely even noticed he was there, and when the photos came back he had captured wonderful, intimate moments when we didn't even know we were being photographed. He prepared a beautiful online gallery for us as well as a stunning physical album that we will treasure forever. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Owen to anyone looking for a wedding photographer - he's a rare talent.

We searched for a long time to find a photographer for our wedding who was focused on natural, documentary style photography. From the first phone call we had with Owen, we felt reassured that we were in safe hands and that he was going to capture every moment the way we envisaged it. He was very communicative and friendly in the lead up to the day, and at our wedding reception we barely noticed he was taking photos! But the photos he delivered to us were some of the most beautiful shots I've ever seen. He captured every special moment between our friends and family so perfectly. I don't especially like having my photo taken and often those photos you see of yourself that are 'unposed' are not always the most flattering, but somehow, in Owen's photos, I looked nice in all of them!

I can't rave about Owen enough! If you're considering him for your big day, you will not be disappointed! My husband and I reached out to Owen a couple of months before our small wedding in December, just to enquire and to get an idea about his services. We actually hadn't enquired into many other photographers, but from our very first FaceTime call with him we both agreed we wanted him to photograph the wedding! He was continually attentive, flexible, professional and really made us feel at ease! He was fantastic on the day, all of our family and guests loved him, and of course most importantly, we have the most beautiful pictures of the day! We've made a stunning wall gallery with the photos in our home, and Owen also helped us to custom design our own wedding album. A lot of things didn't go to plan on the day, but the photography was not one of them! We will definitely be reaching out to Owen again in the future for any more special events! :)

Owen was an excellent choice of photographer for our wedding. He is extremely talented and captured so many special moments for us that we had not necessarily seen on the day ourselves. He was always in the right place at the right time, but was so discrete we barely noticed him. He captured everything in a very natural, documentary style way which is exactly what we wanted. On top of this the whole service he provided from the initial meeting, right through to the delivery of the final album was perfect. Owen is very reassuring and you feel in safe hands throughout the whole process. He is very organised and punctual in his responses to all your questions, and even took the time to visit our church and venue beforehand to find the best angles for his shots.
