What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Create a Pinterest mood board and just add ANYTHING to it that you love that catches your eye. When you've added plenty, look back at what colours/textures/themes clearly stand out and use that to help you plan your colour theme/look etc! <3
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Usually a couple will contact me and tell me their date/venue. We'll message a few times, asking and answering questions, getting to know each other a little. Once the couple are loaded with all the information they need, I send an electronic contract that can be signed online so everything is sorted quickly and super smoothly :)
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Newlyweds portraits are my absolute fave - I whisk you away at some point after your ceremony to have a minute alone so I can capture those AMAZING "just married" feels. Using my subtle techniques, I always manage to draw out the most beautiful, natural moments and a must for me is a picture of the new bride and groom, in each others arms with the most heartfelt smile/laugh bursting out of the photo!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Embrace it. You can't change the weather and trust me, you'll be that euphoric, you won't even care about the weather! If you want some fab outdoor shots, I'm happy to face the elements if you are! But if you reeeallllyyyyy don't want to get wet, you can always bring a brolly, throw on some wellies or stay inside! No matter the venue, i'll still be able to take some UNREAL portraits of you both - its all about you anyway, not the backdrop.
Describe how you got into photography.
I feel like I can't answer this because as far as I can remember, I've just loved taking photos. I was that kid with a camera in everyone's face taking unflattering close-ups! What I love about it though is that you're creating something that freezes a point in time forever. Photos are SO special. They make memories come to life and keep those memories fresh. Wow that sounded cheesy but it's true!
