DJ Martin Lake

We hired Martin all day, for our wedding on 4th February 2018 at Rhinefield House He played the music for the ceremony, background music during the drinks reception/wedding breakfast, and of course for the party in the evening. I had 2 meetings with him beforehand and knew instantly that he would get everything exactly as we wanted. He read the crowd in the evening keeping people on the dance floor all night as well as playing the Trance that we wanted. We also had lasers and up lighting this completely transformed the room. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to anyone, and if we ever need a DJ again he will be our first choice. Thanks Martin for helping make our big day so amazing! Elly and Phil x

We had Martins all day package for our wedding in September. He was professional from our first meeting and took on board on what we wanted. He knew the timings of the day and made sure everything ran smoothly, which was a massive help! The lighting package made our venue look amazing and the glitter ball added an extra level of sparkle. The dance floor was never empty and Martin accommodated all our requests. We would thoroughly recommend and hope to use him again for a party in the future.

We met Martin a few weeks before the wedding, we discussed the music choices first dance etc. He is an extremely personable gentleman which put us at ease and was very flexible to the fact that we hadn't even decided our first dance music yet. On the day itself he was there on time set up and ready to go, he kept everyone on the dancefloor all night and everyone left extremely happy (the groom now has no knees on his uniform doing his best dirty dancing impersonation). Martin made the whole experience relaxing from start to end and we would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a wedding or special event DJ.

We hired Martin after finding his website. After reviewing his photographs and videos online, we were immediately impressed and excited that we had found our DJ for the big day! We contacted Martin via his website and within an hour, we received a response. Martin was keen to come and meet us and introduce himself meaning we were able to strike up a personal professional (he wore a suit and tie) relationship with him instantly. From the very first meeting, Martin's enthusiasm, eagerness to please and his outright dedication to providing us with the party of our dreams shone through. We liked Martin so much and he put both of our minds at rest that our party needs would be in safe hands, we hired him without hesitation. Other than asking my now wife to marry me, this was the next best decision I made! From this moment to our big night, Martin went above and beyond what we expected of him. He came to see us again in person a month before the wedding to finalise plans. We also ran through the playlists, the first dance, father and bride dances as well as a close down routine all of which Martin's experienced suggestions helped enormously. Prior to the party, we added some last minute additions, namely which were up-lighters to be used during the wedding breakfast. Martin came out to the venue prior to our arrival to set these up. He then came back again later in the evening to set up his impressive DJ booth. No matter what we asked of Martin, he went out of his way to ensure it happened! The party itself, well, WOW! My most basic requirement was "I want a rave in a room"! Boy, did Martin deliver! His fantastic lighting, sound system and laser show would not have looked out of place in Ibiza! It was everything we ever dreamed of, ONE BIG PARTY! Martin knew his audience well and managed to keep the dance floor busy all night playing all kinds of different genres to keep all happy! All of our guest were in awe of the show he provided and everyone commented that they have never been to a wedding where the dance floor was packed all night. I would never hesitate to recommend Martin Lake Roadshows to anyone. We loved Martin and his show so much, we want to have another party and we will definitely be sure to book him again! We first saw Martin a few years ago at another wedding and had the best night. When it came to making a decision for our own wedding we knew he would be perfect! Martin is a really friendly guy and was happy to meet us a few weeks before the big day to talk everything through, including a few song requests. Our guests danced all night long and didn’t want it to end. If you have the room we’d definitely recommend the light show too. If you’re looking for an outstanding DJ - Martin is your guy!
