The BARNES VILLAGE STRING QUARTET features players from London’s top professional orchestras including The English Concert, The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Glyndebourne Opera, Feinstein Ensemble, Britten Sinfonia and The English Baroque Soloists.
The Quartet have an active schedule, including performances at London's diplomatic hotel, the Jumeirah Carlton Tower, Canada House, Kensington Palace, Connaught Rooms at the Four Seasons, Devonshire House, Imperial College, Ham House, Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park and Kew Gardens.
Founded by Canadians Fiona Huggett and Lynn Selwood, they are often asked to play for Network Canada, the Canada-UK Chamber of Commerce and events sponsored by the Cultural Attache's Office. They have performed for the Canadian Prime Minister as well as Bill Clinton, former President of the United States.
