Makeup by Lauren Poole

Lauren is an amazing make up artist. She created beautiful looks for myself, 3 bridesmaids and even squeezed my mum in last min. She put me completely at ease and tweaked my look on the day from the trial so it was perfect for me.

I got told to buy a dress, that was all. I never had any idea about when or where it would happen and I didn’t know until I arrived at the venue the day before. My now husband had organised everything including flowers, hair and make up. Lauren had never met or spoken to me before though I understand she had been sent a couple of photos. I am useless at make up myself and so rarely wear it, therefore was unable to really tell Lauren what I wanted or like other than to not over do it as I don’t like the feel of make up on my skin. Also, usually (on the rare occasion I do wear it) I forget, rub my eyes and resemble a Marilyn Manson wannabe!! Lauren was brilliant and talked me through everything that she was doing and what products she was going use. She gave me choices but I let her have complete free reign as I quite frankly have no clue when it comes to make up. Lauren completely took her time, was really relaxed during the process and I found her to be just a genuine nice, friendly person. She even hung around with the photographer to help me get in my dress as I was there on my own (no one else invited - that created a s@&t storm but that’s another story!) I was so pleased with the end result and felt a million dollars, what more can you ask for and the fact she was doing it without any prior trial or any discussions with me, I think is a major credit to her and just shows her ability. Lauren is simply a delight to work with. She is professional, conscientious and super talented. She has a great understanding of what her clients want and how to achieve it. Lauren is a true professional in every aspect of her work and is a pleasure to be around.

I fully trusted Lauren to do my make up for my mother in laws wedding.... however it surpassed even my great expectations. The quality of make up and the application was amazing and it lasted all day, even when stood next to a roaring fire!!! It’s the extra bits though that showed Lauren for the true professional she is. Having to apply the make up whilst my two year old was rummaging through the bags and the 5 year old was asking constant questions... and still my eyeliner was straighter than I could have ever done it myself!!!! I would recommend Lauren to anyone for a big event or their big day.

Lauren, thank you so much for Sunday. You were amazing, obviously my make up was stunning and I felt like a million dollars but you also made me feel relaxed, we had a laugh and you were just what I needed on the day! Everyone commented on my makeup and I’m so thankful! If I ever need my makeup doing again for events I will give you a call! Xxx
