The Stones Hotel has been home to many standout weddings, each with its own personal touches and unique stories. Sasha relates one particularly memorable and joyful celebration at the venue:
“The bride arrived in a vintage VW camper, and guests were welcomed with an elderflower fizz cocktails and live acoustic music as they took their seats. The couple wrote their own vows, which had everyone laughing and tearing up in equal measure. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed lawn games and prosecco on the terrace while we transformed the Solstice Suite into a romantic reception space. Their dog, Luna, even made a special appearance in a floral collar as the “best dog” – a first for us, and definitely a crowd-pleaser! What made their day so special were the personal touches and how relaxed and joyful the atmosphere was. The couple later told us that having a team who genuinely cared made all the difference and that their wedding felt like them from start to finish.”
Sasha studied Event Management at uni, and was from the very start, “drawn to the creativity, detail and emotion involved in weddings”. Since then, she has been a dedicated wedding planner for nearly 9 years. “What I love most about this industry is that no two weddings are ever the same. Each couple brings their own story, style and energy, which makes every day different and exciting. Being part of such a joyful and memorable chapter in people’s lives is incredibly rewarding, and it’s that happiness and buzz that make this industry so special to me.”
When it comes to expert wedding planning advice, Sasha encourages couples to focus on what matters most to them:
“Don’t lose sight of what the day is really about – you and your partner. It’s easy to get caught up in trends, opinions and little details, but the most memorable weddings are the ones that truly reflect the couple. Focus on what feels meaningful to you both, and everything else will fall into place.”
If you’re looking for a venue with stunning views, a laidback vibe and a team who genuinely cares, The Stones Hotel could be “the one” for you.
